Body Language Expert Says Clemens Was Not Forthright With Congress
By Administrator | February 14, 2008
Janine Driver is a renowned body language expert who is a professor at The Johns Hopkins University (where I attended grad school). She has worked for the federal government, law enforcement agencies and Fortune 500 companies on body language analysis… and she has trained more than 20,000 police officers on interrogation techniques. She is currently on a government assignment that she is not allowed to discuss publicly, but it has nothing to do with the investigation into performance-enhancing drugs in professional sports.
Her professional nickname is “The Lyin’ Tamer”.
Yesterday, she watched the congressional hearings on PEDs with a crew from ESPN.com from her home. During the hearing, she contemporaneously critiqued both Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee for tell-tale signs that they were not being forthright with the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. It is important to note that “not being forthright” doesn’t necessarily mean someone is lying, although they COULD be lying, but it DOES mean that they are not being completely honest.
Based on her analysis, Clemens’ body language indicated he was not being terribly honest with congress (and the American public); whereas McNamee, though he appeared beaten — personally and professionally — appeared to be much more credible in his testimony.
