Youkilis Re-Joins Team, Back In Starting Lineup
By Administrator | September 6, 2008
Kevin Youkilis rejoined the Red Sox today after missing the series opener last night to attend to a family matter… he will be in tonight’s starting lineup against the Texas Rangers.
It will be only the second time in seven games that Youk will be able to answer the call… he missed two games with the flu and two others with back spasms.
The extra day at home allowed Youk to get extra treatment on his back in Boston.
Youkilis said the back spasms could have stemmed from his bout with the flu: “I’ve been feeling a lot better the last few days… being dehydrated, being in bed, the doctor said that (back spasms) happen a lot”.
