Red Sox architect Janet Marie Smith revealed plans for adding approximately five hundred seats atop Fenway Park’s “Green Monster”. The preservation group “Save Fenway Park!” had floated the idea a couple of years earlier.
When installed for the 2003 season, the new Green Monster seats became the most sought-after real estate in the game of baseball.
