I, John W. Henry, Take Linda Pizzuti…

Yesterday afternoon, Red Sox owner John W Henry married Linda Pizzuti in a ceremony aboard his 164-foot yacht, the Iroquois, in Boston Harbor.
The 60-year-old investment guru met his 30-year-old bride last summer at Alibi, the bar at the Liberty Hotel. In a recent Boston Magazine story, Pizzuti said the Sox owner was instantly pursued her… she said that she initially rebuffed his overtures, though she finally relented.
The ceremony itself was attended by fifty family members and friends. A wedding reception followed in the outfield at Fenway Park… it was attended by more than four hundred guests and was marked by tight security. People working the event was prohibited from having a cellphone, and guests were asked to refrain from taking cellphone images that might surface on the Internet.
The guest list included “Curb Your Enthusiasm’’ star Larry David, Boston Celtics CEO Wyc Grousbeck, documentarian Ken Burns, “Fever Pitch’’ filmmakers Peter and Bobby Farrelly, BoSox GM Theo Epstein, MLB commissioner Bud Selig, and many more.
